SCT X3 purchase

just bought an sct x3 and have been trying to figure it out on my computer and its not working out for me and im starting to get annoyed...can anyone please walk me through on what i need to do

you have to go to the sct site, and update it first, do you have your custom tunes already written and available?

have you updated it on sct's site, if not go here ... SCT Automotive Performance Products select the bottom one X3 ford ... and then device update software

yea i just updated the device software

now on your SCT when you go to device info ... under FW Version it should say 1.2.106.0 that is the current firmware ... do you have that ?

no it says 1.2.108

So where are you now that you're getting stuck ?

well when i bought it i purchased the IDP extreme tune... i dont know how to tell if that tune is already on there or does someone have to email it to me b/c when i plug it into my truck it says error please use dealer locater at sctflash.com

YOu should be able to load the "canned tunes", but if your wanting to use custom tunes you will have to pull the strategy off you truck and send it to a tunner. After they recieve your strategy, they will send you tunes via email.
