Intake??

Hey guys, i've been looking at intakes. mainly for MPG's. not for HP. but anyway i've been reading and heard that some can be worse than stock? is this true? i was looking at the K&N intake. is it decent? bad? does anyone have any experience with it? does anyone have any graph's or dyno results between the intakes?

i don't want to spend $400+ on an intake basically for the little improvement i may get, so looking for some help.

K&N's aren't a very good option. They flow well but don't filter well. The stock intake on your '07 is as good as it gets filtration wise, and flows almost as well as the aftermarket options. If you have your heart set on an intake I'd look at the AFE or S&B brands.

Main reason I got an S&B was because It was a one in a life time deal, I mean steal.

i would have to agree that your stocker is fine.. but if you really have to have an intake my vote is for a S&B: S&B 6.0L Intake

i would go with the new AEM Brute Force HD intake i hear they are one of the best for hp and mph just what i got outta diesel power mag tho i have the AEM Brute force not hd one and it does real good for mph

dont think everything you read in the magazine is the truth ....because if we did then we would think banks and edge is the best thing out there ....for the 6.0 its a sct tuner with custom tunes .....and stay away from k&n ....s&b are really good filters

not going off what i read in magazines, i never do. i've just heard that some are bad and not worth the money either way and i got that from people on here. I'll look into the S&B.

yea i just caught that, haha. So, what kind of deal can ya give me on an S&B intake?
