Recomended Exhaust Setup

Okay, I know some will probably frown, some will say to sell it, some wont care. I have a 2004 4x4 f 250, bought it with 67k on the odom, it came with an air-raid intake and a super chips hyper tuner that i since traded in for a Flashpaq. Im not drag racing this thing nor am I trying to get over 500rwhp. I would like however advice on a good sounding 4" turbo back system and also whether or not I should delete the muffler, the stock cat, both, or whatever. I have been looking at the mbrp exhaust but I am not ready to shell out over 400 bucks on just what the manufact. says is a good set up. Help!!

First and foremost, welcome to the Org! The MBRP is a good exhaust and many of the guys here run it. I was hoping you would want to get rid of that Flashpaq and want the SCT for that 6.0L. LOL Your motor and tranny would really love you for it! I am sure I will not be the first one to say that. I would ditch the cat and the muffler. There is nothing like the sound of a straight-piped 6.0L. Good luck in your search for knowledge and power and again welcome to the Org.

even though your not going for a 500 hp truck...id still switch to sct...just for the fact of the trans tuning is second to none

Since you are in Louisiana, any aluminized exhaust system will be fine and last for a long time. 4" is sufficient.

From what I read, Farmboy's usually has the best bang for the buck.

MBRP 3.5" downpipe and cat delete pipe under $200, done deal. If you want to cut out the muffler, locate an exhaust shop and get a quote.

I run an AFE, sounds good, sounds better with my cat off, WILL sound even better with the muffler off.

Thats' the way you should look at it, no cat or muffler and it'll sound like a jet taking off...LOL
