COMMENTS on AIS vrs AFE ???

I am convinced from my Engineering studies of it, that Marc is right, and the AIS is a fabulous air system. Add it on the 7.3, comes stock on the 6.0...

BUT THE NEW FILTERS SENT HERE ARE DEAR AS DIAMONDS!!!!

So, the best I could come up with as an alternate is the Cleanable AFE, as the cleanup kit of the same filter, kit cost $6.95 ????? ??????

So, I would like to hear any comments... Marc you think it cleans as well? Anybody using the cleaning kits and AFE? Any problems?

Due to the EXTREME costs of the spare AIS filters, I would like to offer it as an alternative to my friends here, IF IT IS THE WAY TO GO....

I await your comments, good or bad... Best Regards from Down Under...Oz

I use the AFE and have noticed good gains. It has been on for 8 months and looks good no real particles in it. I need to try the cleaner on it and see if there is a difference. But I might have just gotten the basic kit and need to order the upgraded cleanable filter. I would wonder if the filter guage would ever show that it needs cleaned since the restriction is so much less than the stock filter? Looks like a good project for me to dig into. Now I spent some time in the dunes and it still looks good. But if you are driving around Australia in the outback you may have more extreme conditions then me. Good luck.

Lone Ranger,

We sell tons of them and if you get the Pro Guard 7 element it is as good as anything at stopping dirt but flowing the air. Call us if you have any questions.
