Edge Insight problems

I think my edge kit is screwing up my truck. I posted in the problem section. The truck's electrical system has turned to the worst. I turn the ignition on the dash lights flicker and the speedo needle shutter. The truck will not start it acts like it has dead batteries. I hook my Jeep up to jump it will start. Its really weird. I plugged the insight in two days ago and seemed ok, and last night I installed the EGT probe, and right after the install all hell has broken lose. I am pretty sure the edge caused.

Are you sure you didn't damage any engine wires while installing the probe? I have the DashHawk which is the same thing and have never had an issues like your describing.

I don't think I did. I don't know how I would have broken anything.

I mounted the unit above the instrument panel. I fished it up by the driver's side pillar. Something could have been messed up there.

I would do a load test on both batteries. Sounds to me like it is a battery concern and it was just a coincidence that it started after the Insight install. Just my .

Make sure you completely disconnect both batteries when you test them so you don't get a false reading.

That sounds to me also like batteries. I don't think you will get that kind of reaction from the probe and the insight. They don't change anything on the truck just give you parameters for what the engine is doing.

Does the Edge stay on all the time? It shouldn't drain the batteries. Are they the original batteries?
