Edge insight questions
Ok I just got my insight today with the EGT probe. How did you guys run your EGT cable to the engine? Where do I go through the firewall? does the insight read transmission temp?

There is a large rubber grommet that you can access under the dash. It feeds through the firewall on the drivers side near the top.
Yes, for Trans Temp just choose Trans Temp under the Ford parameters. For EGT, you need to choose the top level EGT, not the one listed under Ford.

i have one and it dont have top level egt it has edge egt and i have never seen egts under the ford specific parameters

It depends on the firmware. The EGT under Ford specific is what the 6.4L guys use.

the insight can read egt's on the 6.4L without the egt sensor but for any other truck you need the egt probe to read egt which i think is the edge egt.....

it will read tranny temp on the 6.0 . i just updated mine tonight. only took about 15 minutes to do the entire process.
