stock turbo replacement

I have a 06 f350 and the turbo went bad. I am looking for a replacement for it. Would a powermax or a 03 turbo with billet wheel be better? Or should I go and get a stage 1 or 1.5 from Barder? Thanks for the input in advance.

Matt

It depends on what you want out of the truck. A stage 1 would be my vote on a nearly stock truck.

I would look at either Barter turbo or kc turbos. As it's been said a stage 1 is a nice upgrade for a stock truck. I haven't used a stage 1 or 1.5 yet but I will soon. Personally to date I love my powermax + 11 blade single plane billet by KTS combo. I have over 30k on that turbo with 0 issues.

Whatever you get will require tuning so don't expect to bolt anyone's Turbo on and it be perfect.

If it was me i'd do a MTW Stage 1 or 2 and be done with it.

Don't want to go with MTW had a hybrid turbo I got from him and had to send it back four times because there was something wrong with it and I ended up fix the turbo myself it needed a new vgt solneid. And also the turbo I got back was not even the turbo I sent in the get modded will never got back to MTW again.

A PowerMax with an 11-blade single plane wheel from Barder or anybody should be a great addition to your stock truck. I ran one for a year on no mods other than Matt's SRL+ (for stock turbo) tune.
