SCT X3

I found a SCT X3 locally. The guy said it was on a Mustang before. If I buy it will I have to send it to someone to load diesel tunes on it? Also those tuners aren't vehicle specific are they?

What to look for when buying used SCT for 6.0

Be sure it's unlocked/not married and has unlocks left. You get custom tunes in a email from the tune writer, no need to send out the device.

Thanks for the link. I did know that they were married to whatever they are used on. I just wasn't positive if one used with a Mustang could be used on the 6.0. From what I have seen is that it can be used...

Yep, the X3 #3000 and SF3 #3015 will work on several different Ford make/models.

Awesome. I appreciate the info. I got it for $125 and since it should work I'm glad I pulled the trigger when I did.
