Hey guys, are you looking for an affordable exhaust for your 'stroker? I am deployed overseas and I am due home in a few weeks for midtour leave. I decided all my bills are paid off, its time to spoil myself, but I couldnt swallow spending 600-1000 for a turbo back system for the rig. Luckily before I buried myself into the "big names" exhaust, my buddy emailed me from back home. I remembered him pulling up at the local gas station and his '03 sounded like a combo between a tractor trailer and a jet. I thought he said he had a big name brand on there so I never thought to ask him (I only had my truck for a week at that point), but I decided well I might as well ask. He let me drive his truck around with his exhaust and I was throughly impressed. The sound wasnt annoying, but definetly very noticable, and clean. The power was stronger than my truck (We have the same rigs) and he said he got 2 mpg better than before. So long story short I emailed him and he emailed me back and told me to look up farmboys Diesel (
Welcome to Farmboys Diesel). I did and saw their exhaust and was cautioned when it said call or email for info (you know how that goes), well to my surprise with in minutes I received a reply from a guy named Gus who told me $250 for a 4" turbo back straight pipe set up and for 40$ more a polished 5" tip. Pretty good huh!!?!?!?!
So I ordered it and told gus I'd need it with in 3 weeks so it could be installed on the truck while I am away so when the old lady pickes me up at the airport I could use my newly bought toy. Well today I call home and its there! I ordered Wensday and today is friday.....Freaking crazy. Gus was on top of his game and replied quickly.
I am not one to talk people up, but I was treated right. They seem just like a bunch of good ol' boys, working a 9-5, doing honest work. I will do a write up again when I get home and record the sound and give you updates with everything. Check back here around the beginning of Dec.
Thanks guys, give these people a call!
Adam
