Mbrp

ok guys...i'm about to buy a turbo back from MBRP and can't decide what to go with. I would like to go with the 5" turbo back with a 6" tip but from what i know of MBRP only has the 5" kit in Alum. Seeing as i live in a city where we see a fair amount of snow and road salt should i be worried about purchasing an aluminum kit?

I had the same question when I was looking into the MBRP kits. I live in upstate NY, and they salt the crap out of the roads here, at the first sign of snow. So from what I've seen the salt do to Aluminum in the past, I went w/ the T-409 Stainless Steel Turbo Back. It is 4", but I got a 6" Slash Cut tip, and it looks really nice . Furthermore it is guarnteed to hold up for I believe 5 years, as long as you was it down to keep road crap off of it. This isn't a problem for me. It's a bit more money than the 5" Single; alot more if you have to get duals, but it's definitely worth it, just for the peace of mind.

There are some nice 409 kits out there that are by other manufactures that are really nice setups. There are several that are currently working on getting a 5in 409 system together.

Go with 409 stainless, and keep it 4" unless your rig is running 500+ hp. You won't see any added performance between the 4" and 5", you may even loose some juice from that large of a pipe unless your rig is really hopped up. I have the ATS 4" 409 turbo back system, if that matters (I know I paid too much)
