Should I Use A 3.5" Down Pipe To A 4.0" From That Point Back And Would A Good Package Be The Mbrp With The Diablo And A Airaid Intake

Thanks

Hey BUKWAKR! Welcome to the site!
I'd personally go with the 4" MBRP from the down pipe all the way back and the Diablo.......oh wait I DID go with that.
That's the same setup I have on my '05 and love it! As far as intake, everyone here has convinced me to go with the AFE Stage II so I'm saving my pennies for it.

4" Mbrp

Rodslinger

I Heard That On The 05 And Up's You Should Use The 3.5" Downpipe For The Reason Of Letting The Turbo Spool Up Too Much And Damage It.also I Saw A Flash At My Dealer That States That The Aftermarket Intake Filters Do Not Have A Fine Enough Filter Media To Properly Filter The Air And Will Cause Damage To The Turbo

Thanks

Bukwakr

As far as the thing you saw at the dealer that wouldn't surprise me because they'd never want anyone to modify anything on their rigs. Also I've never heard that about the downpipe and it seems everyone I've seen or spoken to has the 4". Maybe someone else will chime in here in a bit with some more info on it.

I got that same song and dance from the dealership a while ago since I have a k&n filter in it. They said that some dirt was getting past it and had damaged my turbo. Not covered under warranty because of the filter. I have never touched it since!

You didn't fight it????
Check this out;

Everyone needs to not let the dealer step on them. There are laws in place to prevent just such things. Keep in mind that a dealer doesn't want to do ANYTHING that costs them money and fixing ANYTHING costs them money.

Turbo Pipe Blow Off

The Reason I Was Told To Run That Downpipe Was To Reduce The Chance Of Blowing The Turbo Pipe Off The Info I Got Was From Porta Diesel Down In Fl.

Blowing what turbo pipe off? It's just a half inch. It's not going to make that big of a difference. I think the turbo outlet is 3.5 inches which is the same as mine, so my magnaflow came with a 3.5" downpipe that goes into 4 inches the rest of the way out. According a few different exhaust manufacturers I talked to they said that they designed and tested larger downpipe and exhaust combo's but didn't gain anything extra....like a 4" downpipe and 5" exhaust....you're gaining nothing but a fitting headache with that size. Also slinger is right. Aftermarket filters do a much better job than they like to admit. I haven't heard a whole lot about AirRaid's filters. I don't think they're too bad, but i'd just go with an AFE.
