I'm wondering the same thing, I've noticed it in a few more peoples signatures lately...

It's kind of like having a new strategy flashed at the dealer except this is only the FICM (Fuel Injector Control Module). Or you can think of it like an SCT tune for your FICM. It allows the tuner to do stuff with the injection system that can't be done from the PCM, although once done there are some tweaks that can be done at the PCM to take advatage of the new code on the FICM. Does that make any sense? It's just a custom tune for your FICM.

Kind of. I get all that, can you explain in more detail, or more specifically. I understand how this all works, just looking for what it does exactly? Does it change how much fuel is delivered and at what times? How does it differ from the PCM tuning, what can be changed on one and not the other? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know enough about tuning the PCM or the FICM on these trucks to be able to give you detailed information of exactly what is changed in the tuning of the FICM. One of the tuners like Eric would have to step in with that kind of detail I'm afraid.

Ok cool, thanks for the info. Just trying to learn since I really know nothing about the FICM. I just like reading technical jargon haha.
