No, EGR delete has nothing to do with what you are wanting to do. However, an EGR delete is a good idea.

Agreed. The two are different things. But the sooner you can do an EGR delete the better IMO.

Hello. I too am new here and new to Diesel engines.

I recently purchased an 04' F350 with the 6.0. It has the gauges located up on the A-Pillar (I guess that's what it's called) so I'm assuming it has been "chipped".?.? It also has the bigger custom exhaust pipes and custom breather (air box).

My question is, how can I tell if an EGR delete has been done?

Thanks,
John

Post #5 gives pics of a common EGR delete.
WHAT OR IS THERE A WAY TO KNOW IF UR TRUCK ALREADY HAS AN EGR DELETE???

Other methods of EGR cooler delete are usually harder to see or tell. This will include a welded close cooler or with block off plates.
