Any Opinions of Planned Mods?

Just dropped off my 05 CC Dualy at the dealership tonight to have the head gaskets done and install the ARP studs (under warranty). Planning on installing an Edge evolution with attitude and 4" turbo back exhaust. I'm not looking for big performance gains, mainly MPG as it is only getting between 12-14 MPG. Have seen other posts downplaying the Edge but what would be the best on a budget? Any other ideas welcome.

A custom tuned SCT us the only way to go on the 6.0!

I'd highly suggest looking at SCT with custom tuning. I'm sure there will be plenty of others along that will back this as well.

dump that edge....

SCT X3 for around 400 bucks and a set of gauges around 300

the custom tuned SCT is the best for MPG and your trans... its not always about which tuner gets you the best HP gains... its about how good the tunes and the SCT def beats any other tuner for the 6.0L'

Y the SCT? What are the main differences to the Edge? Please be specific. I don't know anyone in my area using or selling the SCT.

hm why SCT....

well your edge is just a generic tuner that edge tunes to keep thousands of people happy.. they dont make it to wild or too tame... the trans tuning is also not the greates... the edge has been known to blow trans... me personally i owe one trans to the edge juice......

the SCT is a fully custom tuner that gets tuned to your trucks and your mods on your truck..their will be noone else with a tune exactly like yours....

and since noone else around you is running SCT your gonna outperform them and get better MPG

According to Edge the Evolution w/attitude it has adjustable trans tunes. I am not interested in any wild tunes, just a little wake up and better MPG. The truck empty is over 3800Kg.(8360 lbs.) so not interested in big performance.
