I am going SCT Xcal3/Livewire , Programmer for fuel economy and built in Monitor...
From reports, it gets its info from the OBD port, and the info is accurate within reason.. I am also optioning a EGT Probe... Monitor is cool, and good as stock guages don't work well, but if you get a programmer and run for fuel economy, I will argue it pays for itself.. I have tried Powerchips on my 7.3, Edge Juice Platinum with Attitude on my 06 King Ranch, Quadizilla on a Silverado, and am now going SCT Xcal3/Livewire on my 07... All gave me some increase on fuel economy... I will argue, that with todays fuel prices, a programmer will pay for itself..! lone Ranger in Oz... out on the last Frontier |

The Edge Insight is an excellent choice. Make sure to get the optional pyro probe with it. You can use it with your SCT, but it will not control the SCT tunes. We have them in our online store if you are interested.

Just FYI, we have a new monitor that is on its way out for the 6L trucks. It monitors around 25 parameters, reads and erases codes, 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times and will likely have an optional turbo timer available.
Won't really be anymore than current Commander in price. |
