smoke question w/programmer
i have a 2005 f-350 that i installed an edge w/juice programmer. on the extreme setting i can feel the power but i hardly see smoke coming out. i took the cat and muffler off and it is still the same. i have a neighbor that has the same programmer and his smokes alot more even with a cat on
. he said i might need an update on the programmer but i bought it used, can i still get it updated? or do you guys think its not the programmer?

If you are running the same program, then there is a good chance he may have a problem.

I would be glad that this is the case. You're burning most of the fuel and feeling the power from your mods.

not only that... i would take off that edge pretty quick.. i would never run it on a any PSD.... its an OK tuner.. but nowhere near as good as a custom tuned SCT X3 that you could of bought for cheaper than the edge....

I have an Edge and love it and my drivetrain doesn't seem to have any problems with it. I'll agree with this Stealth guy that it's not as good as the SCT w/ custom tunes...but let's compare apples to apples. Those thing are bad a$$!!!!

you can compare it apples to apples because their the same price... so why not get the better of the two with the same amount of money

If I didn't have my wife watching over my shoulder, getting an SCT wouldn't be an issue. I got my Edge from a friend who sold his truck when he got his 08. Tranny fluid and temps have been fine when hauling on level 2. No slipping. I haul my construction equipment and haven't had any issues. Unless someone buys my Edge, I won't be getting an SCT for a while. Still like my Juice.

the stocker is very inaccurate and anything that reads off the OBD 2 port is the same.. only way to ge accurate temps is by installing aftermarket gauges... your temps could be anywhere from 150-240 and your stocker will always be at normal -Raul |
