tranny shot

well, transmission went out now, only got 30,000 on it. i took it to ford, and they said they were going to try and warranty it, but a ford rep would of came out, and probably charged me something since it has 40" tires and all that kind of crap. guess im giong to go with a custom tranny, i talked to a guy who builds him and he said the problem with the torqshift is that alot of it has to do with "brain" so to speak, of the transmission. hopefully everything works out

That sucks! If you end up paying for a new transmission, I would go with an upgrade trans like from SunCoast. I've been to their shop in Ft Walton Beach, FL and they know what their doing.

Send a message via Yahoo to Dave
Since you regeared to 4.56 the 40 inch tires shoulld not have putting a strain on the trans

yeah, but thats ford for you. theres a teacher at my tech school that im going to that has a custom tranny shop, so im just going to have him rebuild it, he does really good work for a very reasonable price so just figure might as well go with him and not have to worry about it anymore.
