03 Turbo pedestal
Antbody know where I can get one without going to a dealership. I will go there if I have to. None on ebay and can't find them online. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I got the 03 turbo sitting here taunting me..

I know I've read a few different places that you can put an 03 turbo on the newer pedestals, you just can't bolt up the back bolt so you rely on the exhaust connections for more support than normal.
Don't take my word for it. Find that info on your own before you attempt.

Yes you can bolt up the 03 turbo to a newer pedestal. BUT you will not be able to put all three bolts back into it. Which will leave one side un-supported which IMO is a very bad thing. Just go to the dealer and pick one up. They are only $200 and believe me. Once you put that thing on there you will forget how much you spent anyways.

I'll probably end up going to the dealership but I'll look around for a while. Not going to put it on until this winter when I get laid off. I know I can use the 04 pedestal but don't like the idea of not having the turbo bolted securely.

How much different is the 04 pedestal than the 03 besides the rear mount? Is it possible to fab up a tab and weld it to the 04 pedestal to support the back mount on the 03 turbo?
 Here's a pic of my 03 pedestal for reference.

I have the Ford part number for the pedestal and the hardware kit (all nuts, bolts, orings..worth the $8) for ya....lemme look 'em up real fast.
 EDIT: OK...here ya go, Ford Part Numbers...I always recommend the hardware list for the extra couple bucks to make sure you get everything and have all new o-rings and all. Pedestal LIST $226.79 Ford PN 3C3Z-6N639-BA Hardware Kit LIST $8.53 Ford PN 3C3Z-9T514-AD Those are list prices, actual varies a little dealer to dealer.
