Which MTW?

Alright my mods are in my signature. I need a turbo that's gonna give me outstanding flow with great spool up (little to no lag), and some decent power when I want on a nice tune. I tow on occasion up to 18000 lbs and I don't want no problems drivin through the coquihala in BC. Right now with my 155/30 stock 03' charger my egt's are way out of check. Hitting 1300 pretty easily on a decent grade uphill. Need to get these egt's in check. Any suggestions ?

Thanks

A bigger turbo will help but probably would give u extra lag but better uptop. Have you looked into a water/meth setup? Give u a little extra power and help lower those egts a lot of ppl say better mileage too. I'm looking at a stage one or 2 when I buy.

The way my Stage 2 spools with 155's, I personally would spend the extra cash and skip the stage 1 and get a stage 2. It will also give you room to grow if you should decide to in the future. I haven't gotten a chance to tow with this charger yet, but I feel it's not going to be an issue at all. It lights off so fast off idle that I would be willing to bet you couldn't tell that it isn't a stock charger if you drove the truck and I didn't tell you. I credit a lot of the zero lag to Chris's tuning. He really brought the low end response out in this turbo and the top end is nothing short of awesome.

I had a MTW stage 2 before they were stage 2's with my 155/30s and it was awesome, you won't be disappointed with the spool and extra power. It would likely clean up 175/30's to in case you want to go bigger in the future.

Since it doesn't require a core charge why not try it and if you don't like it MTW will give you your money back to apply it towards a Mad Max.

Win Win Right there.

^^^ x2

I am doing some testing with the MadMax with stock injectors. My truck struggles to hit 1300 egt even on a hard throttle run.

I am running the 140x SCT tune with the Herc FICM tune. On the stock charger with the billet wicked wheel, I could hit 1500 - 1600 egts

This is exactly the setup I'm wanting to go with. Stage 2 155/30s. Think you guys just helped push me off the "fence".

I'm running some 175/30's and a barder stage 2.5 with gear heads tunes, and believe it or not it spools just as fast if not faster than the stock setup before the upgrade. I noticed a huge drop in turbo lag and the throttle response is awesome.

05 F350 CC LB FX4 Lariat, ARP studs, new head gaskets, Barder Stage 2.5 turbo, warren diesel 175/30 injectors, Odawg ported manifold, no limit fab up pipes, S&B cold air intake, sinister coolant filter, BPD water pump, IPR EGR delete, MBRP turbo back exhaust no muffler or kitty, edge insight monitor, tunes from Matt @ geadheads, rancho rs9000xl adjustable shocks .
