nos without studs?

anyone here runnin nitrous without head studs with no problems? also for those of you with nos, whats a good kit to buy? cheapest i seen is about $500 through jegs. i read in diesel power mag that 05 and up ford made better changes to help with not blowin gaskets. is this true?

I have heard that about the 05s and up, but I have not seen proof, I wouldnt risk it.

thanks craig and joe. i kinda figured it wouldnt be any good but i could have sworn i seen some guys on here runnin nos unprotected. i see your gettin the goods craig. lucky you. are you doin water meth for sure?

lol, Im Chris. Craig is the guy making fun of me.

I am getting it, just not sure when I will install it, it will probably have to wait till spring... I have someother things i need to address first, and I still plow with this truck

I say no because NOS to me is a "cheater" fuel. Not calling people that use NOS cheaters but I would like to put down fast times and numbers with just #2 like Granny. If you decide to go NOS the hg's should be fine. When my heads came off the motor the gaskets were fine. In short burst I don't see any harm being done.

thats all i want it for is just the 1/4 mile. how much could i put to it and how much faster do you think ill run? i hear ya on the all motor. only way i can think of with all motor and go fast is twins or a aftermarket turbo and fuel system right?

Hate to say it but without 4WD I don't think you'll be going anywere faster.
