egr blocker plate

anybody running just a egr blocker plate(freeze plug) on an 05 or newer? elites site says that it recommends the full new up pipe becuz the newer trucks have the scoop? I have an 06 now. also has anyone installed the new pipe, and was it pain in the ***? thanks guys..

the newer trucks do have a scoop i have an 2006 i don't really know if a new up pipe without the scoop is going to make any noticeable difference i have an egr delete kit that removes the entire cooler assembly and reroutes the coolant and uses a plate to block the factory up pipe and to answer your other question is yes changing the up pipes without removing the cab is a pain in the *** hope this helps

for the new trucks elite sells the whole sneaky pipe. its not that bad of a job...small areas and a few things in the way.

if you are gonna do it right get rid of the whole cooler itself. makes life a lot better.
