tuner for a 6.0

so i have heard that adding a tuner to a 6.0L will cause it to have problems faster, blow gaskets, heads, etc. is this a ture statment? my friend has a 6.0 an is unsure on if he wants to tune it or not. i have a 6.4 and have not had any issues with mine yet

Tuning it won't blow the gaskets, however driving like a bat out of hell will.

You can have the tuner write tunes for a non studded truck and you should be good to go.

Getting the studs done and taking care of the egr cooler will make the trucks motor have a better life with less dr visits. Hope this helps.

tuner for a 6.0

If he gets tunes custom written for his truck (such as Vivian) he has nothing to worry about, but if he uses the canned tunes that come with a tuner then he will most likely break or blow something. Custom written tunes will make his truck more drivable and can really improve fuel mileage if he gets an economy tune.

EDIT OLDAWG you must type faster then me. LOL
