Stage 1's on the way (finally)

Finally got my Stage 1's ordered from Spartan (River City Diesel). I don't have the free cash for the turbo upgrade yet, so the Fixed Geometry dream will have to wait. I should have the sticks in on Saturday, and will let everyone know how it runs.

2010 F250 Lariat 6.4l
SCT 3015R/Gearhead Tuned, Edge Insight CTS,
FloPro DPF Pipe, EGR Delete/Elbow

I'm running a FASS through the stock filter bowl and lines. I will be retaining stock tuning, not running the SCT anymore. Hopefully the stage 1 with stock tuning will be a noticeable increase in power.

You should like them a lot. Just curious why you wouldn't want to run atleast a small SCT tune, if for no other reason than for the tranny tuning? Enjoy.

Well, I'm fairly happy with the stock shifting at this point. My racing days are over, I hardly ever put the pedal down anymore. I'm going for reliability above all, and with the de-fuel to shift and torque management that the stock programming offers, I think overall longevity will be increased. I also plan to get the upgraded solenoid from Suncoast (I believe) to increase the line pressure a little and help out with shift flair issues.

This has turned into an experiment with hard part upgrades to improve power and economy, aside from the usual tuning changes. After I get the injectors, solenoid, and fixed geometry turbo installed I may go back to Matt and see about fine tuning some things via the SCT.

I'll shoot some during the swap. I'm not looking forward to the passenger side. I've never had to pull that side before, but it looks like a blast. From what I've heard it's not as bad as it seems, so we'll see.
