03 Turbo ?

Is the turbo pedestal the same on the 03 and 04 6.0? I might be getting an 03 turbo but don't know if I need the pedestal. Thanks in advance.

Sorry but the front mount is the same it is the 2 rear mounts that are different. I used an 03 pedestal when I did my swap.

Are you sure about this? I was told that the 2 mounting point were the same but the back different..

Doesn't really matter to me which are different as long as I know they are different. Appreciate the help though. The pedestal might be the only thing I have to pay for.

I just put mine in 2 weeks ago. The front mounting point is the same but the 2 rear points are not. Some have mounted the 03 turbo to an 05+ pedestal using just the front bolt on the turbo and relying on the uppipe and downpipe vclamp connections to hold the rear of the turbo. I don't like that solution and I think it is worth the price of a pedestal to do it right.

I would go with this - I was speaking from a picture of the pedestal i'd seen, not personal experience, all i knew for sure was that it was different.

bet it's a lot eaasier to get the turbo in there with the later pedestal...
