I have a 2006 extended cab long box completely stock minus haven cat delete. I'm wanting more of the famous exhaust notice.
I'm wondering if the stock downpipe has a resonator if so what down pipe would be best I would like to keep stock 3.5 exhaust. For know then I'm gonna do a cat back dual 4or a 5 inch if I can find one. Thanks for the help

The best tone I believe is to just go with a 5" straight tb. No muffler no kitty no nuttin. And if you reeley want that screamin turbo, a 03 turbo is the way to go.

judging by your thread title, you want to hear the 6.0.... the best thing to do is a turbo back exhaust. if you don't have the money for that then just buy a pipe to go in place of the cat and muffler that you "accidently" misplace hahaha.... but if your looking for the big time jet sound or whistle, then the 03 turbo or an aftermarket turbo is the only way to go

I have the money sorta but I want to lift it be for I go crazy on my exhaust I was really wanted to keep my stock size do down pipe cause what I've been reading is it has a resonator in stock. And delete the muffler. Then down the road I wanted to do a turbo back 5 inch duals if I could find a kit. And when I pulled my exhaust it would just go to my dads truck cause to him my truck is "test truck". So can any one tell me for sure if there is a resonator in downpipe. And if so what down pipe to start with and is there a 5 inch dual kit or only 4

There isn't a resonator in your down pipe. If you want to get some more whistle out of your stock set up, delete the muffler as well. Same thing as an aftermarket turbo back exhaust but with a smaller pipe.

just did the diamond eye 4'' stainless turbo back kit on my 04 could not be happier worth the investment... If you don't want to spend the $ now replace the muffler with a strait pipe. I do have the early turbo and think I have the sound you are looking for.
