5" aero turbine muffler on stock 6.0 F-250 ??

darn i bought the wrong size muffler it is the aero turbine 5050xl resonated 5" inlet and outlet, what can i do can i still install it or should i sell it and order a 3.5" so it fit's directly on my 04 f-250 6.0 ?? any suggestions

either buy a nasty sounding 5'' system! or do a lil work, cut your exhaust and get 2 reducers for each side that go from 3.5 to 5 which they do make oh and 2 clamps

hopefully my local muffler shop will have a reducer, my other concern is hearing my wife ***** on how loud it might be

ehhh itll be louder but not THAT much now a straight 4'' or 5'' exhaust would be LOUD but not factory with a new muff

anybody want's to buy it for $160.00 ???? my cheap *** muffler shop only caries piping up to 4" and i aint going to drive 100 miles to install a darn muffler any body want it ??? your saving about $35 !!

Assuming you have deleted your cat and have not thrown it away you can make two 3.5in. to 5in. reducers out of it if you cut off the ends. Although straight piping the truck would have been cheaper and better.

well you are probably right but i don't wan't it too loud and no tone, i have never heard a diesel straight pipe i've only heard on with a muffler and i liked the sound.. i ordered the 4" muffler last night but this time i got it with out the resonator, i could'nt see my self paying $60-70 shipping to send and recieve so i can sell it to you guys and you guys can save $40...

update i fianally put the aero turbine but a 4" and i'm very dissapointed it sounds like stock or you have to step on it in order to tell you put a muffler i think i have to remove the cat in order to tell that i have a muffler

removing the cat on a 6.0 doesnt sound any different in my opinion.

I straight piped my truck turbo back. And it sounds like you describe its very quiet when driving normally till you romp on it then it sounds like a bat out of hell. Diesel engines dont get that loud because of the turbo it acts like a muffler unless it has stacks.
