Exhaust Suggestions
I am helping my brother out.. He has a 2005 6.0 f-250 and he currently has a 4 inch turbo back banks exhaust and he is impressed with all of the 6.0 videos on youtube with the jet whistling sound. I guess it is just a straight pipe and cat delete. I am curious to find out how to make his sound like this.
Recommendations would be great. Thanks

For the 6.0, No cat + no muffler = hair dryer sound.
Get a good tune from Innovate or (add your flavor) tune that drops the pressure a bit and you'll get a nice whistle sound and bark/growl out of the exhaust. Some of the 6.0 videos you are hearing have the 2003 style turbo. You won't get that sound without changing your turbo.

The ones that we watched claimed to be 2005 models, and he has a bully dog programmer already if that helps any. Thanks

Bully dog = first bicycle w/training wheels
SCT with custom tunes = small dirt bike. World of difference.

Tell him to ditch the Bully, and get a custom tuned SCT from ID! He won't be disappointed

I wouldn't go THAT far.
Once you stud the motor, bigger injectors, turbo... THEN you get into real performance.

My truck whistles like a champ!!! Sounds very good IMHO; I have cat and muffler Deleted with the exhaust stopping before the bed starts. A bit raspy but I like it. Ive been looking into getting a full 4" T/B but Im afraid Ill lose the sound............ohh yea the intake will improve the turbo whislte substantially

your right Adam on my 7.3 if i disconnect my 4'' to where it stops inches after the cab it sounds raspy. big sound difference between the two configurations
