I tried it with a sawzall and screwed up. I just bought another one and left the scoop in and put blocker plate in anyway. A 03-04 up-pipe will not work on a 05+ motor. I already tried that.

The easiest thing to do is just pick up a sneaky pipe. They're not that expensive and save a lot of work cutting, grinding, and welding.

i think elite diesel does however i bought a brand new up pipe from a member for only 75 and i could cut out the "t" and get a plate welded in there for cheap im assuming and i think a sneaky pipe is $165 and the up pipe egr delete pipe is $220 so i should save a little and i can keep my factory one just in case.

What is the difference between the EGR Delete pipe from Elite Diesel for $220 and the sneaky pipe for $165.
Is the Egr Delete pipe the entire Delete?
Is there really any more benefit from it?
And is there any more work involved in installation?
sorry for all the ?'s im looking to buy on or the other

The EGR Delete Pipe is NOT a complete EGR Delete kit. The difference between this one and the sneaky pipe is simple. The sneaky pipe still retains the the exhaust pipe extension, which still allows exhaust flow into the egr cooler.
This is called the sneaky pipe because from the outside it looks just like the stock piece.

The EGR Delete pipe has that extension removed so exhaust does not flow into the cooler. This does not look like the stock pipe and the dealership/tech would beable to recognize this right away.

As far as I know there is no difference in the installation time or diffiulty wise.
Here is the link to Elite Diesel that shows the difference between the two pipes in question. Hope this helps ya out. 6.0L EGR Components

I thought the sneaky pipe had the T portion blocked off, though, so no exhaust gas can pass through the EGR cooler. If it still allows some flow, I can't see what good it would do to install it. Is that not how it works?

Straight from the elite website:

Up-pipe with Blocked off EGR (Sneaky Pipe)
$165.00
Want to block off the EGR on a 2005 and newer truck that has the restrictive scoop shown below? Here is a replacement up-pipe that does not have the restrictive scoop, so you can use the included block-off plate. This maintains the factory appearance of your original pipe. Pipe comes with genuine Ford hardware: 4 new fasteners, nuts, and gasket as well as our block off plate. On certain trucks this modification may set a check engine light, our custom tuner can eliminate this condition.

Up-pipe with EGR pipe Delete
$220.00
This is a replacement up-pipe that no longer has the exhaust pipe extension to allow exhaust flow into the EGR cooler. This modification also removes the restrictive scoop found inside most up-pipes on 2005 and newer trucks. This works the same as the EGR plate but improves performance by removing restriction in the exhaust. Pipe comes with genuine Ford hardware: 4 new fasteners, nuts, and gasket. This pipe gives the best flow of the three EGR blocking options. On certain trucks this modification may set a check engine light, our custom tuner can eliminate this condition.
