manifold swap
could i put an 03 manifold on my 06 with no issues or will the intake elbow on my 06 not fit. if it wont fit, will the 03 intake with 03 elbow work with my 06?

I think the intake is identical except for the throttle body on the 03. If you remove that, the 06 elbow should bolt right to it.
What happened to your intake? Cracked? |

I know that the Banks elbow is different... not sure about the stocker

Yeah, the Banks elbow is different because the 03s had a throttle body in between the top of the intake and the elbow, so it has to be shorter. Once you remove the unnecessary throttle body, the intake should be identical and bolt right up to the factory or aftermarket elbow from the newer trucks.
Don't quote me on it, though. I'm just going by what I've read. |

all the manifolds are the same. once you remove the "throttle body" then they all fit. the throttle body is a dummy of the 03 anyways. the 04 had a plate in there, if you remove it then it will throw a CEL. the 03 wont. all elbows will fit though if you remove the TB.
BTW why are you looking to put the 03 manifold on an 06 though? the 03 manifold has a balance port on it. if your gonna be digging that deep then you might as well do a EGR delete. unless thats what you are doing anyways?? |
