Magnaflow exhaust sound

Well I ordered a full tb ss magnaflow exhaust today with the cat delete pipe. I was debating between the mbrp 4" and this one but when I talked to the dealer he talked me into this one. but he said they didnt make a muffler delete pipe for it. which almost made me not get it, but he said that there wasnt really any difference between the mbrp staight piped and the magnaflow with muffler. I was just wondering who has the magnaflow, and if he was telling the truth about the sound difference. the main reason I baught this was to get the turbo sound and better fuel economy. owe and the whole thing was 440 with a 6" tip.

yah im not sure who you talked too but their wrong...

i had that system on my truck and got no turbo sound... the muff does a great job at sound dampening everything....

straight pipe is the only way to go

I have the magnaflow TB w/cat delete but do have their muffler and love it. Nice and quiet inside (yes you can here the turbo whistle) but roars when you put your foot in it. From the outside for everyone else to hear that is. I was driving the other day and went under this really long overpass and decided to romp on it to hear what she sounded like. I was really surprised how loud she barked. The inside of my CC is so quiet I never knew. As far as their muffler goes, it is a straight through design.

I agree, however when I removed my muffler the sound at idle is much louder and of course at WOT too. You can really hear the difference in the cab as well.

All the Magnaflow systems include the Muffler delete pipe anyway. I run the muffler on mine because I talk on the phone A LOT while driving. Without the muffler it's just too loud in the cab for me.

I have the same setup, and when i put the muffler on it sounded like stock. i then took it off within 10 mins.

Hello All Just to set the record straight Not All of our Kits come with the muffler delete pipe. The only ones that come with the delete pipe are the new DPF Kits.
