Alot of guys are getting great mileage running the Looney, as long as you keep your foot out of it

I run the econo tune that he made with SCT and I get 16 in town and 20+ on the highway depending on how fast I drive. With the Luney I'll see about 2 mpg's less on the highway.

I get my best economy running the newer eco tune, though I don't really see much difference with looney if I keep my foot out of it. How fast do you drive? Do you have a 4.10 rear end? I usually see 16s if I run in the 80s. I have a 3.73 rear end. If I run 72-73, I usually get high 19s to low 20 MPG range. If you keep it below 2000 RPM, you will get the best economy. With a 4.10 rear end, that equates to about 65. My best trip economy was 20.5 over the whole trip running dead flat I-10 in Texas.
I just took a trip to Florida from Kentucky with 3 people, a dog, a camper top, and a bed full of crap. I'd say there was at least 800 pounds in the bed, and I got 19.2 from start to finish over 900 miles, with 300 or so of that in mountains. On the way back, I had the same load plus a 6000 pound trailer. I got 15.7 then. |

I got the same on Innovative Xtreme Race & Looney between H-Town & Big D (200'ish miles) 21.9 .... I ran the Spartan Max Econo with an extra 900+ pounds of fuel in the bed of the truck (I bought a +95Gal Aux Tank) I got 23.6mpg .... Granted I wouldn't run Max Econ even .5 mile off the freeway, mainly because of my driving habits, and the way the tunes makes the tranny react to my stupid redneck driving! I have clocked my mileage A LOT!!!!
