what engine do you have. If you have the 6.0L just get the SCT and custom tunes for it. Don't forget gauges if you do not have them yet.

im getting gauges soon which gauges would you recommend? i was looking at the sniper cause i can get that with an egr delete for about 360 and ya it is a 6.0

The most recommended gauges are; boost, trans temp (w/ auto tranny) and EGT (pyro)

The EGT is the most important. You can get EGR delete with custom SCT tunes too.

Go with SCT, you can't beat custom tuning, and it'll be nicer to your tranny too (again, if you got an auto)

for tuners you have DJ's, Innovative, Elite diesel and Spartan they all do custom SCT tuning. go with what you want I have no experience on my truck personally.

not sure about diesels but Sniper tuning is pretty good on gas engines they are easy to tune and you can buy the software cheaply to do other vehichles you own. but again I have not tried them with a diesel

If you have never tuned a vehicle before, I dont recommend it. Its to easy to blow stuff up. Go with the SCT and get gauges

Sniper has canned tunes just like sct and everyone else and they do custom tunes as well.

Lloyd, trust an old lady on this one, step away from the Sniper and get you an SCT with custom tuning. I promise you that you will never regret it! There is a very good reason that the majority of 6.0L owner who have tuners on their trucks have the SCT. It is the "safest" (if there is such a thing) power for your motor and tranny. Would a GRANNY lie to you?
