Upgraded Tranny questions

Hey guys, I'm currently running the extreme race tune daily from Innovative. I eventually want to do a bigger turbo and injectors along with headstuds, but if I do that i'm scared that my tranny will take a dump on me. What should is necessary to keep this transmission in one solid piece when running this kind of power? Or am I worried about nothing?

i believe the 5r100 is a much better trans then the 4r100 in its ability to hold power, but id do atlest a torque converter, deep pan, and upgraded cooler, with a valve body increase, to boost line pressure.

If you are gonna do anything the converter would be it. the 5r110 will hold 500-550hp in stock form. the cooler is already massive

Suncoast makes good parts for the 5r110.

Biggest problem with that trans is the tuners not knowing how to control the shifts properly. Call and talk to Cale or Brian at BTS...or John Wood on what to do.

I am looking at saving a little coin for the exact same reason. Approximately how much should I be planning on spending on a solid converter for my truck?
