Water injection

For those if you that are running a water injection system on your truck, or can offer any info. I want to bring my EGT's down, so I'm going to do the Zoodad mod, and would like to do some injection to. My question is: do you control your injection off of boost pressure or EGT, or both? The Coolingmist kit I was looking at uses a boost sensor for activation, but they also offer another it that uses boost and EGT to activate.

TIA

Depends on what Snow Performance kit you get. Stage2 is boost alone, stage 3 is both boost and EGT's.

I have the Snow Performance Stage III Boost Cooler, and you can set it to run off the boost, the EGT's, or both.

I know I can get a kit that will allow activation of the water injection using either boost or EGT. My question was: what is the better way to activate? I was pulling my 4runner on a trailer today, and flat pulling my brothers Landcruiser (he ran out of fuel on our way back from four wheeling). It was pretty flat towing for the most part, and my EGT's were running a little high for me, but my boost wasn't very high.

What do you set your boost activated injection on?

I like the kit alot, it cooled my EGT's while towing by probably about 200 degrees. But as for my MPG it didnt make a noticable change.

For towing its best to have both EGT's and Boost for activation but for racing I put it on boost only. I have the boost activation on medium boost. I hope this helps.

How much cooler will it run with propane? I know that I get a 150-200* drop in egt's with the water only injection.
