What exactly does the "cold fix" do?

I know it's early but I need to start thinking about getting a cold fix for a few of my sct tunes. What exactly does it do; richen the fuel mixture, change the timing, what??? And once the engine is warm does it revert back to normal or is it always on?

Never had a "cold fix" tune and never needed one. Looks like you're already running 5w40 syn so that's all good. If you've got the inductive heating flash from ford for your injectors, it's good to +10 or so without even plugging in the block heater (yes, I know gets MUCH colder where you are). Who's tunes are you running?
