Edge Juice with attitude platinum

I'm new to the site and have just recently began upgrades on my 2006 F250 FX4. I'm running a K&N cold air intake, just put on a 5" exhaust and downpipe and was wanting to add a tuner. I have been looking at the Edge Juice With Attitude Platinum. Anyone out there running the same tuner and if so what are your thoughts? Also I have been reading alot of negative feedback on the K&N cold air intakes. I know several people who are running the same setup on diesel and gas engines and have not had any problems. What is the big deal with K&N getting so much negative feedback?

The platinum is a great module with a ton of features. Most here prefer SCT or other programmers, but if you want on the fly adjustability, turbo timer, gauges, etc, the Edge unit is the way to go.

K&N gets its bad press due to bad filtration as well as code issues.

Is it possible to keep the unit and just use a different filter? Thanks for the info on the tuner. I don't really want to have to add alot of extra gauges and the shift on the fly is important as I tow a 22' bay boat through a variety of terrain from flat to hills.
