Used SCT?

I found a used SCT Xcalibrator2 (model 9415) It says it has only been in one vehicle. Bad idea? I know they read vin #'s. Can they be used on more than one vehicle?

it has to be unlocked before it can be put on a new vehicle if it is the custom tuner.

It says program was reinstalled back into device. Does that mean it was unlocked?

when you connect to the computer you can see how many times it has been unlocked. They have 5 unlocks available, once you use all five, you have to get it reset by SCT I think. I bought mine used, had only been used on one other vehicle, I just unlocked it, then loaded tunes. works great
