Blown y pipe

Will a blown y pipe cause high egts . Mine is badly blown and when I step on it the egts are climbing much faster and to levels I have not seen even on my high tho tune . I have the sinister y pipe to install along with a power max .any info from other members who experienced a blown y pipe would be helpfull , thanks

arp studs , updated stc fitting ,stand pipes,

Yes, a blown y-pipe will cause that. It's a boost leak so you're getting all the fuel into the engine but not all the air.

Check the bellows on the sinister pipes.. if they have exposed braiding internally.. there have been a few failures documented..
lets get your old ones fixed..

the sinister unit has no bellows , that's one of the reasons I picked this one , its also looks less restrictive , ill post some pics soon. heres the link Sinister Diesel 6.0L Powerstroke Y-Pipes

are the slip joints leaking? Have you crawled under and checked for soot marks with a light?
