SCT and Innovative Diesel is the ticket
I just wanted to publicly thank Eric at Innovative Diesel for answering all my paranoid questions about the SCT downloader both before and after the sale. I emailed a number of tuner makers leading up to this decision and his answers were always prompt and knowledgeable.
The tuner works great and although the pre-programmed SCT tunes were nice Eric's tunes were even better. It feels like a completely different truck unloaded. I'll be towing the camper again in a couple of weeks so I'll get a chance to see how it compares while towing. |

Yup his tunes are great!! With mine on Extreme Street the truck goes sideways with a no boost launch, and on Extreme Race i need 4wd.. lol

I also agrre, Eric did the tuning for my SCT, and I couldn't be happier. Now if I can only get those EGT's down so that I can feel 'good' about running the Xtreme race tune down the track, I'd be a really happy man. I really wish I would have taken my truck down the track today at ATS diesels on the mountain, I feel like it would have been one of the fastest 6.0's out there, maybe next year. I got a lot of good info from some of the vendors out there about, intakes, intake elbows, water injection, and possible turbo upgrades to bring down EGT's. ID's Eric is the man!

I just intalled my tunes from Eric at Innovative gotta love'em, I thought the preprogramed where good, but that Extreme tune is fun.

Did the zoodad mod in the rain today. Trying to hear more of my turbo...
Can someone tell me how some trucks get that great turbo spooling sound when they're just rolling around a parking lot? My truck has a Banks monster exhuast back from the turbo but the CAT is still in place. I also have the Banks Ram Air intake. It pretty much sounds like it did when it was stock except for squealing tires. I'd like more of the jet engine sound. |

lose the cat an it might help with the sound. in 2005 they wnet from the 10 blabe impeller to the 8 blade impeller on the turbo, that took away a lot of the whistleing sound at low rpm's.

Actually reverse that^^^... Ford did 10 blade on the exhaust, to 12/13 (I can never remember) in the 04 year and the 05+s have 15.
