Superchips tuner

Anyone know anything about the Superchips Maxmicro tuners? I'm just looking for some HP, torque and Fuel economy improvements.

yah, those tuners are the on the shelf programmers with generic tunes. I had the Flashpaq 1805 and while it worked ok, the SCT X3 I got w/custom tunes is so much better! More power, more options, etc..

Do it right the first time! I did the Edge Juice thing, then went to the Superchips Flashpaq, then finally got the SCT X3.

Im looking at one of these superchip tuners right now.....part #1706 used for $100.00 I just was going to start a thread to ask about it and saw yours. So your saying its not worth it? Will I not really see any gains in mileage and power with this tuner?

You might, but the SCT with custom tunes will protect your tranny and the tunes are written specifically for your truck. Those generic tunes are OK, but you could really do better as Evan states above. Might as well do it right the first time!

I agree that custom tunes are good, as long as they are from the right person and you have the supporting mods to go with it. I run the superchips cortex programmer on my 6 uh oh and Its just enough power for what we need. I liked the cortex because of the powertrain warranty that goes along with it, they give you 2 years free with the programmer.

can the sct be used on more then one truck or can you only program one truck with it?
