6.0 Hard Acceleration Problem

I recently bought a 2005 Ford F250 with the 6.0, truck has 105k miles on it. Air raid cold air intake, 4" MBRP exhaust, with no cat. Other then that the truck is stock motor wise. The problem i have been having, is when at a stop light or starting from a stopped position, when i put the pedal to the floor it dumps a huge amount of black smoke, and almost has a leg take off. Once at speed, the truck runs fine and accelerates just fine. To me, its like the truck is getting to much fuel dumped to it at lower RPMs. Also this past weekend, i went to climb a hill from being stopped, and when i accelerated the motor would load up and do nothing but dump a huge cloud of black smoke and wouldn't move anywhere. I took the truck to AutoZone today and the truck isn't throwing any trouble codes. This is my first diesel i have owned, and am looking for some help on trying to diagnose whats wrong with my truck.

Sounds like vanes in the turbo are sticking. Plenty of how to's our there on how to clean, look youtube.

Are you sure the previous owner didn't have a programmer on it and left it programmed when you bought.

I bought it from a dealership, and they said no other work was done to it. I have not checked if it had a programer on it before, whats the easiest way to checkfor that? Thanks for the quick replys!

One other thing, the truck is a lariet so it has the 4 AUX switchs. One of the switches when turned on idols the truckup to about 1200 RPM. Is this for warm up?

That's just a high idle switch...actually a nice thing to have. I use it whenever it's cold in the winter to warm the truck up a little quicker...or if I'm gonna leave the truck idling for a long time I'll hit the high idle switch
