you need to get a block off plate or sneaky pipe. plate is like 20 dollars and a sneaky pipe im not to sure of. i know a few vendors around here sell em. but as for the sct tunes turning it off thats for the computer. you still have to block the egr valve becuase it can still be pushed open through pressure if its not blocked even if it is turned off through tunes

Get special tunes to turn off sct. Weld EGR valve shut. Block off up-pipe to keep hot air from dead heading cooler.

complete delete is the best way to go, but you can block it off for about $1 and a few hours worth of work. I used a freeze plug I got at the parts store for under $1(I think the actual part number is on this site) I'll see if I can find it. and then weld the valve shut and it will be blocked.

I can't find the number but I think it was 1.5" and the shallowest one they made. And the 03 up pipe is fine, it doesn't have the big scoop in it.
