How much boost should i be getting

Hey everyone im wondering how much boost i should be getting running an SCT on the street setting with an AFE Stage 2 intake 4 inch turbo back exhaust without the cat on the stock boost gauge it only goes to about 22 psi any info would be great im wondering if my gauge is off or broke? thanks

you should be getting more than that... make sure the tubing is not bent anywhere... if it isnt you might have a boost leak somewhere

ah that one should be electronic....

i assumed since you were running a tuner that you had a set of aftermarket gauges....

I would say 22 psi is about right. That is all my truck puts out at full throttle with the SCT, stock was about 28 psi. That is the beauty of SCT tuning, it doesn't jack your boost way up!

Hi,

"What He Said" Smilie (inserted here)

We have found the stock boost gauges are pretty accurate as opposed to stock transmission temp gauges not being very accurate. Still, the gauge could be off. I will ask DJ if there is a way to tell if there is something wrong with the gauge other than going to the dealer and I will let you know.

Lower boost levels are good for your turbo and higher boost levels are not an indication of more power since you can make the same power with either.
