Tune time!

Not looking for anything crazy. I probably won't race the truck and I don't beat on it too much (this doesn't mean I don't like to lay into the throttle every now and then). I need a tune that isn't going to smoke much (I hate California). I rarely tow with this truck, maybe once or twice per year. Will be using the tune for the extra torque and a few more MPG. This truck is daily driven. Keep in mind I am still running the stock exhaust (for now). I have narrowed it down to a few and would like to get some pro's and con's based on my needs.

Any of those tunes will do. Just contact one of the tune writes, talk to them. Try out the tunes, then have the tune writer adjust to your liking.

Are any of these more advantageous for street or highway? My driving is about 70% highway/30% in town. Shifting characteristics all about the same?

GHA just e-mailed me back about military discounts. This is too great of a deal to pass up. I am going to try the SRL out first. Can't wait. Still open to info about the other guys though. I can still be persuaded. It will be a week or two.

Can't really say, every truck reacts different to tunes. What may work good for my ECM strategy and driving habits, may not work for you or your truck. Hence the name CUSTOM TUNES.

I liked the extreme street for highway driving.

This is a great tune!

So really it all depends on you and your truck. Just contact the tune writer as Lilpooh said and you'll be happy.

SRL+ if you are studded; SRL if not. As long as you ease into the throttle you won't see smoke - just a little haze at times. Matt writes great tunes.

Vivian just hit me with a good price. Could get both for under $100. I think I might have to do it!
