4" Turbo back MBRP exhaust question?
Ok I put this 4" turbo back system on my 05 250 cc FX4 and I have a question about how the exhaust exits the truck. The majority of trucks I see around with exhaust sytems seem to have there exhaust exit at the same angle as the factory( close the the body panel on the truck). Now i dont know what kind of exhaust sytems these trucks have. Well on my truck my exhaust seems to be hanging down further than all the other trucks i see. I know this is hard to understand without pics so i will try to get some soon, but i just thought someone might know what i was talking about. Thaks for the help.

I found the MBRP to hang down a bit lower as well. I was going to try and raise mine up a bit and see how that went.
On the plus side they sound sweet and fit the factory hangers pretty well. |

Hangin' Low
I too just installed a turbo back MBRP exhaust on my 05 F350 CC LB and tip hangs much lower than stock. I'm very pleased with the exhaust except for how it exits. I'm going to post a larger review of the parts I added this week so hopefully before I post I can rotate the exhaust so it doesn't hang so low.

loosen the clamp up that's just before the axle and rotate the pipe counter clock wise. It'll bring your tip just to just below your bed. Biggest draw back is it covers your rear bed panel and bumper w/ soot so the lower angle is better to keep your truck clean.

thanks for the help guys, I think I will just leave it where it is. I am very pleased with the product, install was easy and the sound is great.

I had the same issue with mine but I did exactly what Maintain suggested and that did the trick. I also 3 inches off the end of the pipe so the tip wouldn't hang down/out so far. Now its kind of tucked up and in and I like the result alot.

when you guys rotated the pipe what did you do to the last hanger by the spare tire? when i was installing mine it seemed that the only way it would rest right on the hanger was to have the pipe hanging down, i tried rotating it when i installed it and the piece welded on the pipe and the hanger didnt meet up to good

I have the same problem. I tried to rotate up as far as possible, but the last hanger won't let it move any more.
