Edge programmer problem...trying to remove it.

I have a edge juice the little grey display one and its all fine and dandy and all for gauges but this box under the hood is plugged into the truck and when removed it wont start and when i upload my looney tunes i have to unplug it for it to download.

What does this box do and it purpose? I want only use the display for gauges and nothing else. Basically how do i do that and make it so all the adjustments the edge can do will not function and only my custom tunes will effect the truck

Thank you

that under hood box hijacks multiple input signals then modifies them and sends them back to the truck ( layman's )

it's best to ditch it all because even on 0 it has a trace effect

now why your truck won't start with it off ? you mean if you pull the whole unit ( display and brain) it won't start ?

Truck does not start with the box disconnected....starts and runs fine with it on no problems.

When i tune the truck the box has to be off also for the sct to upload the tune.

Personally i dont like it all, its only used for egt,oil temp, water temp, boost, turbo timer. The only problem is i cant get a collem gauge cluster do to my being short and needing the oh crap handle to hop in hahaha

What do i need to completely get rid of the box under the hood so truck will run without it.

And also is there any digital read out screens that are only that nothing else that i can run through the truck? I really like the egt turbo cool down feature.

when you remove the edge, you have to hook the stock back up.

there has to be a stock computer the edge plugs into it and the OEM harness pull the battery then pull the edge and reconnect the connectors to the OEM computer

I was afraid you were just pulling the head unit that explains the no start

there are many choices for non pillar guages
