It's am matter of personal preference. Both will hold 3 custom tunes of your choice. The 3015ID (innovative's) will also hold 5 preloaded custom tunes from Innovative.

Some members like to have as many tunes on a device as they can. Some only like to have 3 tunes on a device. Some load a tune and never change that tune.

Once you find a tune your happy with, you usually stay with it. Even if you tow, you will have a favorite race tune, then switch to your favorite tow tune when needed.

So you need to make a decision, is it worth the extra coin for the 3015ID, just to hold extra tunes. Or would you rather use the extra coin to buy multiple tunes from multiple tune writers.

If you don't already have gauges, or another way to monitor everything...I'd recommend the livewire ts. Still SCT, but it holds 10 tunes if you want it to, but its also a touch screen monitor too, so it will show any of the important pid's you might want to monitor...egt, oil temp, coolant temp, trans temp all on one screen...plus much more. I have one, so I'm partial to it, but there's lots of other good options...people use the regular x3 and a edge CTS as a monitor too a lot. Lots of options out there.

I'm picking up my new truck tomorrow and it's coming with a sct handheld, one of the first things I'm going to do is order up some IDP tunes. Been talking back and forth with him and everyone recommends them for custom tuning.

I bought an SCT Livewire TS from Innovative back in July. Got extreme tow, street and extreme street for the custom tunes. I really like the street tune. As for the tuner itself, meh. It's too "touchy" and no good way to mount it.
