valeo intercoolers...

Ive been kinda hunting around for a "decent" priced intercooler to replace the stock plastic sided one and came across a valeo intercooler on ebay. Its all aluminum seems alright but has anyone run one of these? Will it offer an benefit over stock as far as lowering my egts a bit? Any info would be great thanks.

Im in this same boat with you. Sadly the words "decent priced" and intercooler don't seem to mix. Ill be watchin to see what you come up with.
Have you checked out the banks system yet?

Bulletproof diesel sells a kit to convert your stock cac into an all aluminum piece.
If you can tig weld or know someone who can its a much cheaper option.
I built one for my truck using thier parts back before it was on the market, my egt's drooped 100

Do-It-Yourself aluminum tank intercooler upgrade from Bullet Proof Diesel

I'm running one of the BPD intercoolers and while I didn't notice a drop in EGT's specifically, it seems like there is a touch more power... It could be in my head, but I think that the MTW Stage 1 just flows the air a bit easier through the BPD intercooler, which is giving me a bit more power. I haven't had the opportunity to tow with it yet, but that's the real test.

I'd like to see this eBay IC in person. Would be a nice, cheaper option for us.

I went to their webpage... it seems like a direct replacement size wise... I know the bd, spearco, afe and banks are a bit thicker so maybe aside from being built better than stock its probabaly not going to have any flow gains.
