I use my truck for many different purposes I'm not looking for all out performance. I haul 20,000 pounds of corn haul trailers and use as a daily driver. Want the ease of changing power levels without the hassle.
Stay away from shift on fly programmers if you want your trans to last.
If you plan on towing close to max weight rating, stick to stock engine tune and just use a trans only tune.
The other issue is, bully dog has been known to leave a footprint in the PCM. Even if you turn the bully dog back to stock setting, it leaves some of the tune settings. This can disrupt or corrupt other tuners if you don't have your PCM reflashed.
