Using a Xcal on 2 vehicles

I have been reading alot on the SCT Livewire and I'm considering buying in very soon. I already have an Xcal2 that is for my '02 Ranger and I'm wondering is it possible to use the Xcal2 on more than one vehicle. Would it be possible to save my tunes for my ranger to my computer then load tunes for my F250 onto the Xcal2? Any info you be appreciated.

Rob

nope once you tune a truck it's locked to it untill you retun it to stock and uselive load to unlock the tuner. you can only do this 5 times then you have to ship the tuner to SCT to unlock plus a fee.

Hi,

That is correct. Everytime you change vehicles you will have to unlock the box. SCT gives you 5 unlocks. After the 5th you have to send your SCT back to them and for $65 they reset you with 5 unlocks.

From experience I can tell you that the guys are not so worried about the $65 but rather your truck has to be returned to stock before you send the box to SCT .... thus, driving stock

With one vehicle you would normally only have to unlock if you get reflashed

Thanks,
Vivian

I appreciate the information.

Vivian, I'll be calling you in early August to order a XCal3 from you. I'm just going to leave my XCal2 like it is for my Ranger and purchase a new tuner from you then. Thanks again.
